Lucas Portillo

Lucas is a self-taught urban photographer based in Singapore. He is born of Brazilian & Singaporean parentage. Lucas photos are known for having a strong sense of passion, telling stories and having unique sets of colours. Having been brought up as a third culture kid, Lucas lived in many different cities over the past 10 years: Hong Kong, Vancouver, São Paulo & Singapore, now back in Singapore after being exposed to so many cultures & religions. Lucas wants to open peoples eyes to the rest of the world. He draws much of my inspirations for visual pieces from architectures, sunsets, and eco-friendly buildings. LUCASPORTILLO.JPEG is a way to express & display what Lucas sees, but through photographs. Lucas puts in immense effort in crafting every piece of visual and hopes to convey a certain kind of emotion to every audience out there.

Lucas is a strong believer in personal values, following philosophies like Stoicism & Kaizen. These things are like his compass to navigate through life. The role models he looks up to are Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Sonny Bill Williams, David Goggins, Muhammad Ali, Alex Coast, Jose Zuniga, Alen Palander, Yik Keat (YK) and his father.
